When starting an online business, one of two things usually happens…

The budding marketer either:

A) finds themselves caught up in a marketing product buying spree, purchasing e-books, software and ‘systems’ from several different gurus

OR

B) stubbornly tries to do everything for free, or close to it.

A) can be costly and a huge time-waster, while B) can be highly unproductive because in order to be successful in a sustained way a marketer must invest in quality tools and services like good hosting, autoresponders, cloaking software, etc.

- offer suggestions for how you can improve your sites, strategies, etc

- give you a push if they feel you’re underestimating your abilities

A good coach can be costly, which is why the average new marketer will shy away from hiring one. The dilemna is that most successful online marketers say that until they had a good coach or mentor, they struggled online, trying to guess why they weren’t succeeding!

One-on-one coaching can be very pricey, it’s true, but now there are coaching forums that you can join for a reasonable monthly fee. Although you don’t get the concentrated attention you might get with one-to-one coaching, a good online markeitng coaching forum can be a truly fantastic source of helpful advice and inspiration. You will get valuable feedback from the marketing coach running the forum AND from other forum members.

Another good thing is that members of paid marketing forums are more serious about marketing than average and are very keen to contribute to the ‘community’.

How can you find a coach and/or coaching forum that meets your needs?

Ask around! Post on the free marketing forums to find out what people think and then read as much as you can about the coaches they recommend to see if you like the personalities and overall approach to marketing.

Before investing any money, it’s smart to test the coach by asking them a few questions about their services. See how long it takes for them to get back to you and how they handle you overall. The ideal is to have a coach who cares about helping people and is therefore prompt and clear in how they respond.

No matter which option you choose, one-on-one coaching or a paid internet marketing coaching forum, it’s a wise thing to start as early as you can to avoid the usual pitfalls of either spending too much or too little for your online business endeavors.

With so many different educational opportunities to choose from and so many different educational providers, it can be overwhelming just choosing one. In this article, I would like to explore the option of internet marketing as a profession, and give you some options on how you can educate yourself online.

Marketing online is the number one way to make money online and has quickly become one of the most easiest careers to implement. The one problem with internet marketing is there are too many resources that claim to have the answers, and many beginners follow advice only to be led on a wild goose chase. Many beginner’s take a road that starts and ends with trial and error, and by the time they start to make money, the amount is so minimal, the time and effort it took to make that measly amount does not equal success. The end result is many beginner marketers give up before they finally become successful.

The problem that many internet marketers run into is they don’t know where to get educated properly to get started. They run into ebooks, websites, you name it (of course you can get some good information for free online-it’s just a matter of sifting through the good and the bad). By the time beginner’s have gone through much of the bad information is usually the time they get frustrated and give up.

In today’s busy schedule, online education has quickly become the desired way to learn. It makes sense, with children to care for, job to go to…who wants to spend another 2 hours driving to school when you can do it from the comfort of your own home? What many online marketers fail to realize, is you can take courses that will teach you all you need to learn about marketing on the internet. Just like any other profession or career, there are online classes available that will teach people from the beginning how to make money online with internet marketing.
